Sweet as Pi-Day Wedding (Kristin + Adam)

Blueberry, pumpkin, strawberry pie… Kristin is certainly the apple of Adam’s eye! What better day to celebrate a wedding than on Pi-day with pie?

We absolutely love our venue partner, Eiteljorg Museum, and the beautiful events they house. Recently, we collaborated with a handful of talented vendors to help make Kristin and Adam’s wedding a day to remember. Our Event Specialist, Freddie Klagstad, had the opportunity to organize their wedding from table linens to wedding pies and she did an amazing job.

Eiteljorg provides a sense of elegance to the urban community of downtown Indianapolis. It made the perfect location for Kristin and Adam to have their sweet wedding reception.

For hors d’oeuvres, Kahn’s Catering served up eggplant cannelloni stuffed with boursin and pine nuts with red peppers basil slaw, strawberry goat cheese bruschetta with basil balsamic reduction, BLT cherry tomatoes, fingerling potatoes stuffed with camembert, truffle oil and spring onion, caribbean meatballs, and pan seared maryland crab cakes with creole remoulade sauce in Eagle Commons. Kristin and Adam joined their guests for celebration as soon as they arrived.

Clowes Ballroom transformed into the reception area. Large circular tables draped in navy tablecloths spread throughout the room. White accents from napkins and florals brought a serene feeling to the space. Guests were treated to favors of s’mores at each of their seats.

Husband and wife were introduced formally before a welcome from the father of the bride and blessing from the father of the groom.

The dinner was simplydelicious. Beginning the first course with our signature Kahn’s salad featuring mixed field greens, candied almonds, onion confit, tomatoes, and roasted red pepper vinaigrette served with rolls and flatbreads, french butter, and herb sun-dried tomato butter. Followed by cider marinated chicken breast with molasses chipolte glaze, gruyere and baby leek potato gratin, and grilled asparagus with red bell peppers and stem on carrots.

To finish the night off, the couple cut into a sweet vanilla cake frosted with white chocolate butter cream. Toasts were given by the best man and maid of honor. Yet, better than the small cake they cut into was the delectable dessert display of pies that guests were able to feast on.
