Kahn’s Catering is celebrating 20 years of setting the standard in Indianapolis for premier catering and event planning. 

We have begun the recruiting process for Part-Time and Full-Time Culinarians for our museum café locations.

What do Culinarians do? 

Culinarians often start in our very important Café division, preparing al a carte items at one of our museum locations. These are often full-time, daytime positions. Those with the desire to be great are often provided the opportunity to also work at events, often in the evening, and in our main production kitchen producing the best catered food in Indianapolis.

  • Provide consistently high-quality food for café guests in a timely manner
  • Prepare for and produce small group reservation orders
  • Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen with health code standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and report immediate needs to Café manager
  • Perform other related functions that may be assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Available daytime, holidays and Sundays (some evenings required).
  • Successfully pass a background check.
  • Immediate access to communication tools (phone and email).
  • Reliable transportation to reach café and events throughout Indianapolis and surrounding cities.
  • Must be able to lift 38 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and bend repeatedly.
  • This position requires standing for long durations of time.
  • Previous food and beverage service experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Our Culinarians start at $11.00 per hour, but compensation is often commensurate with experience.

Flexible Scheduling – All scheduling is done via email with updates provided by email, text, and phone.  Employees must have immediate access to communication tools.

Growth – we’re a growth company and we constantly need great people to grow with us.

Be Part of Exciting Events – In Mid-March, we will host 2 large events that will be sure to be exciting.  The first is a fund raiser gala for 1000 guests on March 11 with an international celebrity in attendance.  The second event is a corporate dinner event for 1500 international guests on March 22.
