Scottish Rite Cathedral Wedding: Lacey & Erich

Our wedding season started off strong and has been a marathon since spring! It has been our continued pleasure to work with so many couples to craft celebrations for their family and friends. Lacey and Erich’s wedding was not only one of our firsts for 2018 but also one of our firsts at our newest exclusive venue, Scottish Rite Cathedral.

While the ceremony and reception began early in the evening, the couple and their wedding party arrived earlier in the day to get ready. The Scottish Rite Cathedral has two spaces for couples to get ready for their wedding ceremony. The groom’s space features both a pool and card table. The bridal suite has lounge seating and a oversized mirror perfect for the bride to see herself head-to-toe in her dress.

Wedding firsts are always exciting. For the married couple there is the first kiss, the first dance. With Lacey and Erich’s wedding, our team was able to experience a first of our – our first ceremony to reception flip in South Lounge!  This unique opportunity challenged our team’s organization and diligence as we worked to transform their space while guests enjoyed cocktail hour in Central Lobby.

Following cocktail hour, guests returned to South Lounge. Instead of rows of ceremony chairs, they were greeted by moody toned linens complimenting the ornate wood details of the space and its colorful painted glass windows. We loved Lacey and Erich’s simple décor as the soft candle light of their centerpieces gave the entire room a romantic grand ballroom feel fit for a fairy tale.

Quartered hearts of romaine, grape tomatoes, basil garlic crostini, shaved parmesan, caesar dressing
Assorted breads, lemon rosemary flatbread with french butter balls and sundried tomato butter

Second Course
Choice of  
Garlic and fresh herb crusted filet of beef, sherry wine demi-glace
Cilantro tequila chicken breast, smoked corn puree

Served with
Roasted zucchini wheels, yellow squash, onion, peppers, asparagus, garlic herb olive oil
Roasted sweet baby golden potatoes, fresh thyme butter

Kids meal
Fresh fruit cup, chicken fingers, BBQ sauce, honey glazed carrots, macaroni & cheese, cookie or wedding cake

Third Course

Vanilla cake, vanilla buttercream

Chocolate cupcake, dark chocolate buttercream, dark chocolate ganache
