A Season of Love – Abby + David

We love fall weddings! This might be one of our favorite Montage receptions of the year- and it all comes down to colors. Montage is a beautiful space, much like a blank canvas, that lends itself well to nearly any color palette. Even though our space is filled with neutral tones and rich hues, we have always believed that Montage truly comes alive when event colors play into the space that we have already created.

Abby and her husband, David, did just that. They held their wedding in the Riesling Room, a privately entranced event space at Montage earlier this October. With the trees along the lake beginning to change color and Abby’s fiery red hair, their cranberry and gray rustic wedding fit right in with the season and coordinated well with the Riesling Room’s neutral walls and wood details. Not to mention the magnificent views from the expansive panoramic windows that showed off the beautiful lakefront with its change leaves.

Personalizing a wedding to make it truly one-of-a-kind and unique to the couple can at times prove to be a challenge, but Abby and David had several thoughtful details that showcased their love for one another. We loved their metal initial signs in gold and silver that were displayed on their gift table and guest book. Abby put a personal touch on many signs and centerpieces that she made herself.  Her complete wedding look was a beautiful balance of rustic and traditional.

Abby and David were married at their church and then began their celebrations with us. Guests entered the Riesling Room and were then shown to the patio to enjoy their cocktail hour along the lake. Butler passed hors d’oeuvres were served and an open bar was available. When the reception began, guests re-entered the Riesling Room and found their seat. Following dinner, the couple shared a few special dances and then opened the dance floor for all of their guests to enjoy.
