Saying ‘I Do’ on New Year’s Eve

Let’s raise a glass of champagne to a new year and a new happily married couple! Kahn’s Catering and Montage had the ultimate pleasure of celebrating the wedding of Rebecca and Todd at Montage on New Year’s Eve.

It was all glitz and glam to commemorate this New Year’s Eve wedding with elegant black and gold. Both Rebecca and Todd looked stunning as they took their walk down the aisle to live guitar music played by Graham Case, ending the ceremony with the sweetest of kisses. Both Rebecca and Todd looked beyond ecstatic to have said ‘I do’. Rebecca and Todd had the Cabernet Room transformed with black and white fabrics, lights and trees to decorate the space for their reception. A wall featuring 2015 in large gold glittered numbers, shining warm white lights and black tullle was the sight of many photographs throughout the evening. Centerpieces shined and shimmered making the evening all the more magical.

If the reception could be summed up in one word it would simply be FUN. From food to drinks to dancing, there was no detail that didn’t theme itself on celebrating such a wonderful occasion. One of our favorite features was the mixology bar featuring a martini ice luge for three specialty cocktails: a white cosmopolitan, blackberry mint mojito and cucumber basil martini. Our second favorite being the mashed potato bar to satisfy taste buds with anything from sweet marshmallows and pecans to savory bacon and cheddar. However, the menu included more than these two incredibly unique bars. Rebecca and Todd also selected a delicious array of butler-passed hors d’oeuvres, skewers and sliders from Kahn’s Catering. Some of the favorites from the evening included dried fig wrapped prosciutto stuffed with blue cheese and a balsamic reduction, shrimp cocktail shooters, chili garlic shrimp, Szechuan chicken satay, red wine braised beef short ribs and southwest spice rubbed loin of tuna with honey wasabi glaze. The meal ended on a sweet note of assorted mini pastries, chocolate caramel brownies, chocolate dipped strawberries, caramel cheesecake with caramel and crunchy peanut brittle, carrot cake and a beautiful chocolate wedding cake with a raspberry coulis and chocolate ganache filling and vanilla buttercream.

As midnight approached, guests gathered around one another to countdown to a New Year and to wish Rebecca and Todd happiness as they begin their life together as husband and wife.
