2017 Wedding Tastings

Our first two group wedding tastings are in the books! Our staff had  wonderful tastings with our couples and their families this past February and March. The next, not until July, is surely to be just as fun, informative, and exciting!

The goal of our tasting is exactly that – to taste! As well as to inspire. However, the meal portions we serve are not just a bite of this or that. Our tastings are designed to give our clients the opportunity to experience our food and our service in a format similar to a wedding reception. Guests are welcomed to cocktail hour where they have the opportunity to try specialty bars and taste both hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, stationed and butler passed. The time that would normally be dedicated to cake cut, special dances and toasts, we fill with helpful information about how to choose a menu that is well-balanced and appetizing, and other helpful information to assist in the planning process.

Each tasting menu had our spring and summer couples in mind. The menus we presented at each tasting varied slightly from one another, but were seasonally appropriate based on the time of year.  In many menus this surrounds choices for hors d’oeuvres, salads and cake flavors.

During both of our tasting evenings we had stellar vendor teams on-site to assist in inspiring our couples and helping them get started on their planning decisions. For example, not every table needs a floral centerpiece – interesting sculptures and brightly colored vases can do the trick too!

At each of our tastings, our vendors had truly great knowledge and industry insight to share from their respective fields. Overall the message was simple: Trust the professionals you hire and be sure you’re hiring a professional. The vendors we invited of some of our preferred vendors, which means that we have worked with them a significant amount of times and can attest to their professionalism, work quality and work ethic. Also, each of them are some of the best in their fields in the local area. We love their work and we love working with them – we hope that you find a vendor that you love and trust for your special day!

One of the highlights of the evening, other than the abundance of food they have the opportunity to try, is our linen selection. While many times linens can only be viewed by a small sample swatch, during our tastings we bring in several of the hottest linens of the season. Our couples browse through the most popular colors, patterns, and textures. We have noticed many of our couples falling in love with their perfect linen right before our eyes!

Words can truly not express how thankful we are to our vendor team and our clients for making this tasting experience one-of-a-kind in Indianapolis!

We have so many photos to share with everyone from this incredible event that there are too many for one post! Be sure to follow us on Pinterest to see the collections provided to us by our photographers. They will be posted soon!
